We had a quick visit with the cardiologist today. They did an EKG and checked oxygen and listened to her heart. Her oxygen level was 100% today :). She weighed 9 lb. 10 oz. so she is gaining! (though still below the 5% for weight). She has been sweating more while eating and feels clammy a lot. The nurse told me a couple weeks ago that it is a sign of heart failure and they might put her on medicine to help reduce fluid in her body so her heart doesn’t have to work as hard. I asked Dr. Joo about it today and he said as long as she isn’t having blue spells and is gaining weight, and is not a baby who is upset a lot, then we will not put her on medicine. Her next appointment isn’t for another couple months, as long as she is gaining weight and her oxygen levels are good. The appt. is set for November 14th and it will be at 7:00 am for a sedated echocardiogram, and from that appointment her surgery will be one to two weeks afterwards. Love you all! We are thankful for our family and support you all give us!
